In 2003, Emily Trinkaus began a series of writing workshops based on the Amherst Writers and Artists method. The following year, responding to the energy of the groups and her own creative needs, Portland Women Writers was born. In subsequent years, Jenn and Dawn have joined Emily in leading workshops as Portland Women Writers continues to expand in scope and audience. Our passion is to offer a safe environment where women can access their creative power, express their authentic voices, and co-create a vibrant and supportive community of women writers.
